Planning Your Banff Adventure: FAQs
Bookings can be made online or by phone. A 25% deposit is required to secure your trip, with the balance due 60 days prior to departure. Cancellations made 90+ days in advance receive a full refund; 60-89 days a 50% refund. Cancellations within 60 days are non-refundable but may be eligible for rebooking credit for a future trip, subject to availability and a rebooking fee. We highly recommend travel insurance.
To ensure personalized attention and minimize environmental impact, our groups are intentionally kept small. Glacier treks and ice cave expeditions typically have a maximum of 8 guests per guide. Wildlife and photography tours range from 6-12 participants. Private tours are also available upon request for a more exclusive experience.
For all technical activities like glacier treks and ice cave expeditions, we provide specialized safety gear including crampons, ice axes, and harnesses. Guests are responsible for personal items such as appropriate layered clothing, waterproof outerwear, sturdy hiking boots, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a daypack. A detailed packing list specific to your booked adventure will be sent with your confirmation. Rental options for some personal items are available.
